Last night I got to go with Kellie and her daughters, Katie (4) and Carrie (2), to welcome home their hero, Paul, at the Colorado Springs Airport. Paul returned from a 6 month tour overseas, and we are all so happy to have him back home! Enjoy! <3

Something that is very close to my heart are single moms – I was raised by a single mom until she met my dad when I was 9, and I have the utmost love and respect for single moms. She is single mom to beautiful Brianna who is 8 years old and has her moms loving, giving heart. Nicoll is a Radiology tech at our local clinic and is in charge of the department. Not only does she work hard at work but she spends her evenings and weekends dedicated to making sure Bri has and does every possible thing she can, as well volunteering her time with our local Fraternal Order of Eagles. Words can not express how much Nicoll and Brianna mean to me. Never does a negative word come from Nicoll, and her positive, outgoing attitude is completly contagious. I am nominating a wonderful friend of mine! She has two of the most amazing children I have ever met, very well mannered and polite and sweet as can be! Wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world…. you’ll love co. springs, if you can deal with the cold weather and high altitude but you drunk quicker and its absolutely beautiful on the trip up to denver but dont move to far from the city. my timeline pic is Pikes Peak from the last trip I made there…..going back in two weeks….then headed there beginning of June….it really is breathtaking…and the air is so clean….lol I am a mom of 3 children and grandma of 1, over the last 4yrs I have rediscovered who I am. I was over weight and very frumpy. Now I am a back in good health and happy. I have not had professional pictures with my children (22yrs, 14yrs & 12yrs and 3.5yr grandson) in over 6yrs. I want to share some special time with them to laugh and just have fun. Would love the opportunity for pictures of me and the little guy! Had it done awhile ago and it was an amazing experience. Wanted to do it again, but money gets tight quickly. His looks have changed so much. Feel like I’m missing out on capturing these years. Would be over the moon to have hair and makeup included! Welcome home, PFC Blackwell and his fellow soldiers in HHC 2STB! It’s always such an honor to attend military homecomings. As a former Air Force wife, I’m all too familiar with the ups and downs of deployments – but most importantly, the anxious arrival of our heroes returning home! I was honored when Adrienne called me a few months ago to reserve me as her photographer to capture her husband’s homecoming from Afghanistan, after being gone for about a year. I am so happy to say that Royce made it home safe and sound last week … Here are some of the images captured! We got to spend a wonderful afternoon at Garden of the Gods right before Robert and Summer moved away from Colorado at the end of March (small world – they moved back to a small town in California that my family lived in right before we went into the military!). Any and every chance she gets she is taking Samantha and Jesse out and doing something fun with them. She works very hard to make sure that her family is always happy! And she is doing a wonderful job at it
